History
Independent Lift Truck Service, (ILTS) was established in 1982 with John Dick as sole owner and operator. Shortly afterwards family members Marlene, Gerry and Wayne joined forces to create a forklift and material handling company that could service the entire State of Alaska. Business was primarily forklift parts, service, and used equipment sales.
In 1984 ILTS began to sell new Mitsubishi forklifts, increasing revenue and establishing itself as a recognized dealership.
By 1989 ILTS began furnishing financial programs for customers boosting sales of new and used equipment.
In 1996, ILTS changed from Sole Proprietorship, to Independent Lift Truck of Alaska, Inc. (ILTA) with Wayne Dick and Gerry Dick as the principal shareholders. After studying the markets carefully ILTA broadened their market share in sales throughout the State of Alaska due primarily to the major lines represented.

Over the years ILTA has established a long list of valued and loyal customers in the lumber, construction, warehousing, and fishing industries.
Currently we have established ourselves as the leading forklift dealership in the State of Alaska. We continue to grow and expand by selling top quality equipment (new & used), servicing our customers with the best trained forklift service techs in the state, and providing OEM and quality aftermarket parts.
In 2006, ILTA became the Alaska Dealer for Cyclone forklifts, bring quality, availability and better then competitive pricing to our Alaska customers.
